A fun time was had by all who came this morning to help sort food at the FoodBank of Southeastern Virginia. None of us can remember this much food needing to be sorted!! We were able to sort a GRAND TOTAL of 5628 pounds of food in a little under three hours.

We got right to work...there were huge boxes of canned goods that w...e never thought we would see the bottom of. We did, however, empty one of them! Way to go!!!!! A lot of food was sorted and many of our fellow community members will benefit from the generous donations given to the FoodBank.

Thank you to everyone who came out to help. If you missed it this time don't worry there will be another chance to make a difference in our community in September!

Today we welcomed Ada Bugbee into the Kingdom of God through Holy Baptism. May our Lord sustain and bless the new life in the Holy Spirit which he creates in Ada today. Ada was baptized by her Grandfather, Rev. Dr. Robert Bugbee. Proud parents are Sarah and Ian Bugbee and Godparents Kim and Marc Gajeton.
